James Faulkner’s participation in the World Cup is in doubt

There is doubt about James Faulkner’s participation in the World Cup. The 24-year-old all-rounder sustained injury while playing in the Tri-Series final match against England at the Waca Ground. He was forced to leave the field midway in his third over after suffering an apparent side strain. It is yet to know the exact nature and extent of the injury, but the Australian camp was not hopeful about his participation in the World Cup. However, Glenn Maxwell is expecting that Faulkner’s injury is not serious.

If James Faulkner is left out of the world Cup squad then it will be a big blow for host nation because he has proved himself a vital player with his all-round performance. If he is ruled out, then he would be replaced either by Moises Henriques or Shaun Marsh.
