Pakistan fast bowler, Junaid Khan, has failed to prove his
fitness in a fitness test and as a result, he has been ruled out of the World
Cup. Due to his thigh injury that he sustained in training, he was not picked in
the squad that played against New
Zealand. He had undergone a rigorous
rehabilitation program at the National
Cricket Academy
in Lahore, but it
did not help him to pass
the fitness test. It may take him a couple of week to be recovered from
injury. A replacement will be announced in the 15-man squad tomorrow.
His injury has come as a
blow for the Pakistan
cricket team. It is sure that his absence will make the bowling line up weak.
