BCCI calls-up Naman Ojha to replace Wriddhiman Saha

Wicketkeeper-batsman, Naman Ojha, is set to replace the injured player Wriddhiman Saha in the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford on August 7. With this match, the 31-year-old player is going to make his Test debut. He has been called up as the back-up wicketkeeper. It has been stated by the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association that the player will leave for England on August 4.
He has caught the attention of selectors by showing his superb performance in Australia tour with the India ‘A’ team. He scored 219, 101 and 110 in the First Class games against Australia ‘A’.
Naman Ojha had a most successful season in Ranji trophy scoring 835 runs in 7 games. For the national team, he has so far played one ODI and two T20 internationals and scored 1 and 12 respectively.

It is obviously going to be a big challenge for him to show his skill in Test cricket. Time will tell if he can successfully replace the gape and contribute to the team to win the series abroad.
