Tesco is set to enter into smartphone market with its very own smartphone

Tesco will soon enter into the smartphone market with the launch of its very own smartphone which is dubbed as Hudl phone by many. This phone is set to arrive this year. However, the release date has not been fixed yet. It may be launched alongside a new version of Hudl tablet, the Hudl 2. According to Tesco’s chief executive, Philip Clarke, the phone will arrive in time for Christmas.
It is expected that Tesco smartphone will be operated by Google’s Android OS like the Hudl tablet does. Besides the usual Android features, the phone will come pre-installed with some of Tesco’s own software features.
As Tesco is planning to launch a smartphone-based banking service at some point, it is likely that the Tesco smartphone will include this new service.

This new smartphone may be launched in several colors like the Hudl tablet. To compete with top smartphone available in the market, the company may set a competitive price.
