Samuel Eto’o is named wealthiest foreign-born EPL player Wealth-X

Chelsea striker, Samuel Eto’o, has been declared the wealthiest foreign-born EPL player by a Singapore-based survey company, Wealth-X. The Cameroon-born player is followed by Ryan Giggs of Manchester United and his club fellow, Fernando Torres, who are respectively placed in second and third position.

Samuel Eto’o is said to have net worth of $64 million while Ryan Giggs and Fernando Torres have net worth of $45 million and $42 million apiece.

Compared to foreign-born players, English-born players in EPL are doing slightly better in terms of earning. The collective net worth of wealthiest English-born EPL players is approximately $20 million greater than the collective net worth of the wealthiest foreign-born players performing in the EPL.
