Real
Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, said on Thursday that his club will neither sign
nor leave any players this January transfer window. The Italian also expects
that the club and the Spain midfielder, Xabi Alonso, will agree to sign a new
extension deal.
The
contract of the 32-year-old former Liverpool player will expire at the end of
the season. He may seek an agreement to be reached that will help him extend
his career in the Spanish club.
Xabi
Alonso has become a vital player for Real Madrid’s hopes of success showing his
experience, control and passing ability, but there is a speculation
that the player may seek a lucrative offer somewhere else due to the lack of announcement
from the club.
Ancelotti
is hopeful of getting a solution and he is expecting that the club and the
player will reach an agreement.
So,
let’s see if Xabi shifts to another club or Real Madrid will sign him to extend
the contract.
