Ahead of the 2014 IPL auction, which will be held
on February 12, the franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) retained only
three players- skipper Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers. The former
left-handed New Zealand spinner, Daniel Vettori, and former South African fast
bowler, Allan Donald, have been respectively named head coach and bowling coach
of the club while Trent Woodhill has been named as their batting and fielding
coach.
As per new rules and regulations of IPL 2014, each
franchise can retain up to five players and they have to confirm the players name before
January 10.
It looks like that RCB has retained their best players.
Virat Kohli has been consistently doing well in all forms of the game. Fans are
well aware of Chris Gayle’s aggressive batting style. AB de Villiers is a good
wicketkeeper and also an effective batsman in the middle order position.
