PCB has fixed February 6 as the deadline for applications for appointing three coaches

It looks like that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in a hurry to appoint new coaches for their national cricket team. Perhaps they will select new coaches before Pakistan leave the country for taking part in the Asia Cup starting from February 25.
To fill the gap left by Australia's Dav Whatmore and Julian Fountain of England, the PCB has set February 6 the last date of receiving applications from interested candidates for the positions of national team head coach, batting coach and fielding coach. As Pakistan cricket team does not have a batting coach, this new post has been created by the cricket board.
Dav Whatmore and Julian Fountain quit their job as head coach and fielding coach respectively after Pakistan won the third test by five wickets against Sri Lanka to level the 3-match Test series 1-1.

Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal told a local television sports channel that player’s opinion should be taken before appointing coaches. It seems that they want local coaches.
