Ahead
of the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings
have keep hold of their five key players. They are MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina,
Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Dwayne Bravo. Now, the franchise will
have only one ‘Right to match’ card to get another player at the auction. Now,
fans are eagerly waiting to see whom they get using this card. They have a lot
of talented players but among them Michael Hussey is the most probable player to
be chosen.
Michael
Hussey, who retired from international cricket in January 2013, was the leading
run-scorer in the IPL 2013 with 733 runs at a strike-rate of 129.50. He has
been performing very well in the Big Bash League (BBL). As of January 11, 2014,
he scored
228 runs in six matches for Sydney Thunder and became the third highest-run
getter after Aaron Finch (262) and Simon Katich (243).
His
age will be given much importance while choosing him at the IPL auction. His
age is nearing 39. Playing 46 IPL matches, he has scored 1,691 runs at an
average of 44.50, including one century and 12 half-centuries. Looking at his
records, Chennai Super Kings should not think second time to select him at the
auction.
