The South Korea-based
company has become the first smartphone manufacturer to produce a smartphone
with a curved display. This company is going to sell its new smartphone named Galaxy
Round which has a bendable screen. This new hand set has already been launched
in the local market for sell and it will be found available in the Suwon.
The Galaxy
Round has a 5.7-inch display and it is just 7.9-milimeter thick device. It
will be found in just one color-brown. It is the latest inclusion in the product
line being offered by Samsung.
According to Warren Lau,
the smartphone could be unfolded to an 11-inch display and help create a new
market.
This year in January,
Samsung showed OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) that can bend while playing
images and it has “various mobile application opportunities”. Instead of using
glass, plastic has been used for composing the material.
It is expected that this
new device will be able to compete with Apple’s iPhone.
