To celebrate Sachin
Tendulkar’s 200th Test match, his sponsors are planning for special
campaigns through social media and digital media. Sponsors like Aviva, Coca-Cola,
Amit Enterprises, Adidas and Toshiba have taken this milestone as a mega
marketing event. It looks like that their planning for strategic
campaigns and initiatives would increase sales in the festival season.
It is expected that the
200th Test match will be played in Mumbai which is Sachin Tendulkar’s
home town. This match has got more importance as it is said to be the last
match of this batting maestro. He is going to be the first player to play 200
Tests in the history of the cricket.
However, the 40-year-old
player has not yet taken the decision to retire from Test cricket. However, the
invitation of the West Indies cricket team to play a special two-match Test
series in November ahead of a scheduled South Africa tour has given the
rise of the rumor that he will bid farewell to the game after the series.
Many commercials and
special television series have been made by his sponsors and these will be
shown by mid-September. With these commercials and television series’ they will
try to promote new products.
