Shakib Al Hasan goes under surgery on his shin

The injury of Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has come as a big blow for the national cricket team. The world number one all-rounder has gone under surgery on his shin. It will take him six weeks to get recovery. That is why, he will not be able to tour Sri Lanka.
Shakib Al Hasan has gone under surgery after getting permission from BCB. It seems that BCB does not want to risk him aggravate it further. He was suffering from shinbone injury since Bangladesh’s home series against West Indies in November last year. Due to his stress reaction on his shinbone, he could not play the five-match ODI series against the same opponent.
Due to his injury, he made a comeback in the second edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. During the BPL, he was diagnosed with exertional compartment syndrome, an exercise-induced problem that causes pain over the front of the shinbone.
The absence of Shakib Al Hasan in the national squad will be a very big problem. It will be hard to find anyone who can successfully replace his position. Selectors may pick an experienced player.
However, soon after recovering from injury he will join the Bangladesh cricket team and prepare himself for the Zimbabwe tour series.
