Samsung launches Galaxy Galaxy Note 8.0, an upgraded tablet PC

South Korean based-company, Samsung, is perhaps the nearest competitor for Apple. They have very close competition with Apple in the technology world. Samsung is doing very well in the mobile device segment. Whether it is smartphone or tablet PC, their name comes just after Apple.
With an aim of beating Apple’s iPad mini, Samsung unveiled its upgraded tablet PC titled Galaxy Note 8.0 on Monday at the 2013 Mobile World Congress (MWC), which was held in Barcelona.
They are hopeful about the increase of Galaxy Note 8.0’s market share in the 7 to 8-inch tablet PC category as Apple has no plan on launching the next version of its iPad mini.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 comes with an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280 by 800. It features a pixel density of 320 ppi which is higher than its predecessor Galaxy Note 10.1 that features 149 ppi.
It also includes a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor. It will run on Android’s 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system and has a killer application S-Pen stylus. It has a close resemblance to the company’s Galaxy smartphone series.
According to the forecast of market analysts, Samsung’s tablet PC shipments would increase 64.2 percent to 30 million units in 2013.  It has also predicted that the company’s global market in the tablet PC market would rise to 20.5 percent.
