Imran Nazir wants to make a comeback to the national team

Imran Nazir is hoping to make his comeback in the national team and he claims that he has the ability to win matches single-handedly for Pakistan.
He last played for Pakistan in the T20 series against England in February 2010. After that, he started being neglected by the selectors. Now, the 30-year-old Nazir has been continuously playing well in the T20 cricket circuit.
He has been included in Pakistan’s 30-man preliminary squad named for the upcoming World Twenty20 to be held in Sri Lanka in September-October.
Pakistan cricket team selectors are being urged by some of the former cricketers to give Nazir another chance to play in the national team. According to them, Nazir is the most naturally gifted batsman in the country.
In an interview to Pakpassion.net, he acknowledged that he has miserably failed to justify his talent over the years. He also said that he has now matured as a cricketer and if he is given another chance he will not disappoint the selectors.
Imran said, “I feel that now is my time to be playing international cricket as I think that I am a far better batsman these days, a more complete batsman, a batsman who has the ability to singlehandedly win a match for Pakistan.”
Showing his performance in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) earlier this year, he has impressed everyone. He is determined to do the same thing in the Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL), which will start from next month.
He is expecting to get more offer from franchises all over the world as he is a genuine match-winner in the shortest format of the game.
