The first draft pick of the Sri Lankan Premier League dominated by Australia and Pakistan

The Sri Lankan Premier League has already completed the draft of local and foreign players. In the first draft pick of Sri Lanka’s inaugural Twenty20 league, seven provincial teams have picked up a total of 56 foreign players. The list of foreign players is dominated by Australia and Pakistan.
It is seen that eighteen players from Australia have been drafted in the foreign players’ list while thirteen players have been picked from Pakistan. South Africa is also well represented with nine players drafted in the tournament.
No player from India or England has been drafted in the list. It seems that they are not interested to take part in this tournament.
The Sri Lankan Premier League will start from August 10 and it will end with the final match taking place on August 31. The three-week event consists of 24 games played between seven teams. All the matches will be played in Colombo and Pallekele.
