The West Indies fast bowler, Shannon Gabriel, has been ruled out
of the England tour due to his back injury. Now, the touring team
will have to play without him in the remaining of the series.
Shannon injured
his back during the first Test match against England. He went under scan which was conducted following
the match revealed a stress reaction in the lower spine.
There is no possibility
for him to be included in the squad. He may take back to Trinidad & Tobago
for rest and rehabilitation to ensure that he is fully fit before being
selected for West Indies in the future.
Shannon Gabriel made his
international debut with this series and claimed four wickets in the first Test
against England.
