Injury has forced the Pakistan opener, Nasir Jamshed, to be ruled out of the
squad that will travel to Sri Lanka next month. He has fractured his finger and will
have to stay out of stadium for four to six weeks. PCB is yet to announce a
name for the replacement. He was taken to the ODI and Twenty20 squad for the Sri Lanka tour.
He picked the injury
during his club cricket match. Earlier it was thought to be a minor injury but
later it was revealed to be a fracture.
After an absence of nearly
three years, he made his return to the competitive cricket with the Asia Cup.
He performed well at the tournament and scored one century against the
arch-rival team India.
Though he made his ODI
debut in 2008, he could so far play just 16 matches. Due to injuries and
illness the 22-year-old player could not play more cricket matches.
