Adam Gilchrist is thinking of taking retirement

The fifth edition of the Indian Premier League is perhaps going to be the last season for Kings XI Punjab captain, Adam Gilchrist. He is making his mind to take retirement from India’s Twenty20 based cricket tournament. He expressed his wish of not taking part in the IPL as a player from the next season after his team received a defeat at the hands of Delhi Daredevils.
Kings XI Punjab had no choice but to win their last league match against the top placed Delhi Daredevils at the HPCA stadium to keep their hope alive of remaining in the competition and move into the four-team play-offs.
After his team lost the match by six wickets against Delhi Daredevils, Gilchrist said perhaps he had played his last match in the IPL. He has not yet said anything about his future plan.
Kings Xi Punjab scored 141 for the loss of eight wickets. It was obviously a score that can be chased and for that he credited the Daredevils bowlers for their good bowling. According to him, the score was 20 runs short of making a competitive total against the opponent team.
