India begins their Asia Cup campaign against Sri Lanka

Defending champion, India, is the hot favorite team in the four-nation Asia Cup cricket tournament which began on 11 March (Sunday) with the match between host Bangladesh and Pakistan.

India will start their campaign against Sri Lanka on 13 March which is the second match of this tournament.

Once again both India and Sri Lanka are going to face each other in a competitive tournament. In their last match against Sri Lanka, India won the match by 7 wickets with 80 balls 80 balls remaining at hand.

Now, Sri Lanka is in a buoyant form. They played very well in Australia and will aim to continue their good from in the ongoing tournament.

No doubt, Sachin Tendulkar will get all attention. It will be expected by his fans that he will score long awaiting 100th ton to complete his 100 international century.

Despite their bad performances in two away series, former Pakistan skipper, Wasim Akram, thinks that India would start the tournament as a favorite.

India is the best team on pen and paper. They have strong batting line up which contains players like Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. They have also good spinners like R Ashwin and Rahul Sharma.

Fans are excitedly waiting to see the match between these two strong teams. Let’s see who can win.
