James Pattinson hopes to play Commonwealth Bank Series

Fast bowler James Pattinson is hopeful about his return to the Australian squad for the upcoming Commonwealth Bank Series which is scheduled to kick off this month.

He is now optimistic about his quick recovery from foot injury that he sustained during the second Test against India. It also ruled him out of the final two Tests against the same opponent team.

Pattinson, who has captured 25 wickets at an average of 18.12 in 4 Tests, announced himself as a star of the future earlier this summer.

He had to go under scans which revealed the early stages of stress fractures in his left foot and he was declared unfit for the rest of the Test series.

The 21-year-old fast bowler thinks that he will be able to return in time for the end of the triangular ODI series between India, Australia and Sri Lanka. It would also make him available for the tour of the West Indies.
