40% of mobile phone users own Android based smartphone in the United States

The sale of Android operating system based smartphone is increasing day by day. The increase of Smartphones powered by Google's Android operating system is noticeable in the United States market. According to the latest report conducted by Nieslen, up to 40 percent mobile phone users use Android operating system bases smartphone in the United States. It accounts for 40 percent of the market share.

The survey was held between May 11 and July 11 this year. In this survey, it became clear that the first choice of these 40 percent smartphone users is iPhone, Android devices and BlackBerry.

The use of Google's Android operating system is increasing day by day. It is really interesting to see that they are getting huge success in the competitive smartphone market. Android operating system is now at No. 1 position increasing by 1 percent over the last period to 40 percent. On the other hand, Apple's iPhone is taking 2nd spot with 28 percent. BlackBerry is struggling hard in the competition. They lost one point to 19 percent of the U.S. smartphone market.

One third of those interested buyers who are likely to buy a smartphone next year said that they want to buy an iPhone. On the other hand, one third expressed their desire to buy an Android based smartphone.
