Angry Birds made its launch in Windows Phone 7 on June 29

Windows Phone 7 users will be happy to hear that they can download the Angry Birds game on their mobile phone. U.S. Windows Phone 7 owners will have to cost $2.99 to download the game on their handset. It is also available worldwide. Before buying the game, users can play it for a free trial. Developer, Rovio, is offering a free trial.

Compared to iPhone and Android handset, the price of Angry Birds for Windows Phone 7 is much expensive. In Apple's App Store, the game is available for just 99 cents. On the other hand, Android handset users can download the ad-supported version of Angry Birds free in the Android Market.

Though Angry Birds is not a new game anymore, it has taken a long time to get to Windows Phone 7. Including an Angry Birds icon, Microsoft posted a website for its Windows Phone 7 last fall. It indicated that it was coming to handset at launch.

However, Rovio quickly responded on its Twitter feed, saying that it had "not committed to doing a Windows Phone 7 version" of Angry Birds. It went on to say that "Microsoft put the Angry Birds icon on their site without our permission."

However, Microsoft said the Angry Birds icon was added to the site mistakenly and it was removed later. The Angry Birds was supposed to be launched on May 25, but it was delayed to June 29.

Let’s see if Windows Phone 7 users show that much interest to buy it.
