Kolkata Knight Riders will miss Brad Haddin

The bad news for IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders, is that their one of the key players, Brad Haddin, will not be able to play the rest of the matches for his club. The reason of his being ruled out of the IPL 4 is that he has fractured his finger.

It is heard that South African wicketkeeper-batsman, Mark Boucher, will replace him. Before making his debut for Kolkata Knight Riders, he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first three editions. It is interesting to see that he was part of the IPL commentary team this season.

According to the CEO of the KKR, Venky Mysore, Mark Boucher’s inclusion can increase the strength of the club. He can play any position when his team needed. In June 2010, he last played for South Africa in an ODI match.

Brad Haddin hurt his finger during Australia’s recent ODI series in Bangladesh. Despite suffering from finger injury, he played one IPL match after Bangladesh tour, but an MRI scan revealed that his finger hadn’t cured yet.

Besides Brad Haddin, KKR team has used two more wicketkeepers- Manvinder Bisla and Shreevats Goswami. Out of seven IPL matches, Manvinder Bisla has played five matches while both Haddin and Shreevats Goswami played one game each. Shreevats Goswami made his appearance against Delhi Daredevils.

Brad Haddin was Australia’s highest run scorer in the World Cup.
