Acer Iconia Tab A500 will be shipped from April 24

The latest craze in the tablet PC market is perhaps the Acer Iconia Tab A500. This latest tablet PC is ready to make its entrance in the competitive tablet PC market. The Acer Iconia Tab A500 is going to be the first Android 3.0 based Tablet PC that will be sold below $500. This beautiful and low-priced tablet PC will hit the store with $499 price tag.

On April 8, 2011, Acer announced that they will ship their tablet PC in the U.S. market on April 24.

The Acer Iconia Tab A500 is thought to be the latest iPad killer because of two reasons. The first reason is that its price is $50 less than the iPad 2. Another important reason is that it is lowering the bar significantly for Android 3.0 powered tablets. Compared to features, users may not find that much difference between the iPad 2 and the Acer Iconia Tab A500.

The Acer Iconia Tab A500 comes with a 10.1-inch screen. Those who are looking for a bigger size tablet PC in a competitive rate should chose it in stead of waiting for iPad 2 that is currently out of stoke.

Taiwan-based company, Acer, first showcased its tablet PC at CES 2011. Other important features of this tablet PC are 1GHZ of Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor and Android 3.0 OS (Honeycomb).

It has dual-camera. In its rear, user will get 5MP camera and in its front side it has 2MP camera.

For the enterprise users, Acer is releasing an LTE model of the A500 and a W500 Windows 7 version.
