Bangladesh will be looking for a victory against England

The match between Bangladesh and England at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on 11 March 2011 is perhaps going to be the most important match in Group B. One of the co-hosts, Bangladesh, will be looking for much victory to keep their hope alive advancing into the second round. This match has also equal importance for England cricket team too because they need to win the match to secure their place in the knockout stage. So, cricket fans can expect to see a tough competition between these two teams.

If Bangladesh loses the match then they will have a very little chance of moving into the second round. So, Bangladesh cricket team will try their best to give their best effort to make their dream comes true.

Bangladesh is not in good position in the Group B point table. Playing three matches, they just got victory in one and lost two matches. With 2 points, Bangladesh is above Netherlands who is placed in the bottom of the table, but because of their poor run rate they have been placed below Irelands who is standing in 5th position with same points.

England cricket team will have to play without their two key players- Kevin Pietersen and Stuart Broad. These two players have been sent home because of their injury. It is thought that Bangladesh will get advantage from their absence and this thing has increased Bangladesh’s possibility to win the match.

Eoin Morgan has replaced Kevin Pietersen and Chris Tremlett has replaced Stuart Broad. Now, English fans are eagerly waiting to see if these two players can successfully replace them or not.

After getting 6-run victory over South Africa, England has revived their chance of advancing into the knockout stage. Now, they need just one more victory to secure their place in the second round. England is in the second position in Group B point table playing four matches with 2 victories, 1 draw and 1 loss.

Both Bangladesh and England played 14 ODI matches so far where Bangladesh could beat the English just one time. However, England cricket team has very good record playing in Bangladesh. They played six matches on Bangladesh soil and won all of them.
