Only few days are left to kick off the 10th edition of the One-Day International format World Cup. The ICC World Cup 2011, which is scheduled to start from 19 February 2011, will be hosted by three South Asian Test playing countries: India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The sale of tickets for the ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 matches has already started from different parts of the host countries. Tickets for the opening match that will be played between Bangladesh and India at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on February 19, 2011 have been sold out. Even, the tickets for the practice match are not available.
The second match of this tournament will be played between New Zealand and Kenya on February 20 at the M A Chidambaram in Chennai. Ahead of this match, many people gathered at the stadium for a ticket and it created a minor accident.
The incident of Chennai M A Chidambaram stadium wall collapse happened when fans were fighting amongst each other for a ticket and it saw the petty injury of two people.
Due to this minor incident, the sale of tickets was not closed. It seemed that the wall could not tolerate the force of 50 people and was collapsed.
