On January 14, 2010, the prestigious Zee Cine Awards 2011 took place at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. Hrithik Roshan was awarded Best Actor (Male) for his performance in Guzaarish. Aishwarya Rai Bachcha was awarded Best Actor (Female) for her role in the same movie.
While Shahrukh Khan starrer My Name Is Khan won awards for best marketed film while Shahrukh Khan won the Best Actor (Male) popular choice.
Unfortunately, Salman Khan did not win any award but his movie, Dabangg, won the maximum number of awards. Dabangg won awards for Best Film, Best Debut Female award (Sonakshi Sinha), Best Debutant Director (Abhinav Kashyap), Best Song (Munni Badnaam Hui) and Best Music (Sajid-Wajid).
After winning the best actor award, Hrithik Roshan was very happy. He said, "This movie is very special to me because of its message. It is the suffering, weaknesses, and misery in our life that become the wind beneath our wings."
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also very happy winning the Best Actor award. She thanked her mentor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and said, "This is a very special film for me. I've always had career milestones with Sanjay's movies - from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam to Devdas and now Guzaarish."
Udaan won the Best Film Jury Choice award. For his performance, Vikramaditya Motwane won Best Director Jury Choice award. Arjun Rampal won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) award for Raajneeti. Prachi Desai won Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) award for her performance in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.
Boman Irani won Best Actor in a Comic Role (Male/Female) for Well Done Abba. While Ronit Roy won Best Actor in a Negative Role (Male/Female) for his performance in Udaan.
