Three Australian players are not certain against Bahrain

The match between Australia and Bahrain is going to be the last match in Group C. Australia will face Bahrain on 18th January 2011 at the Al Sadd Stadium. It is scheduled to kick off at 16:15 local time (13:15 GMT).

The match against Bahrain is going to a curial one for Australia. Australia will have to win the match or at least draw to secure their place in the quarter-final round. On othe other hand, Bahrain has no other option except win the match if they want to play in the next round.

For Australia, injury will be a big problem as they are facing the threat of injury worry. Three Australian players are now doubtful about their participation in today’s match against Bahrain. They are David Carney, Jason Culina and Luke Wilkshire.

Australian coach, Holger Osieck, may think of brining some changes in the main squad and and these three players might be given rest ahead of the final group match. They will be given rest so that they can be recovered soon and join the Australian squad.

David Carney is now suffering from shoulder injury. He has less possibility to play in tonight’s match. He sustained his shoulder injury with a 1-1 draw match against South Korea.

Jason Culina hurt his knee and coach should replace him with Valeri while North will replace the 27-year-old player Luke Wilkshire.

Bahrain should want to take advantage their injuries. Let’s see if Australia can win the match.
