England is eyeing to make new world record

With an aim of making a new world record of eight consecutive victories, England will take on the host team Australia in the 1st of the two-match T20 International series that will kick off on 12th January 2011 at the Adelaide Oval. The match between Australia and England will start at 19:05 local time (08:35 GMT).

The match between Australia and England will remind fans the incident of Twenty20 World Cup Final where these two teams faced each other. Beating Australia in the final round, England won their first world cup trophy in their cricket history. So, Australia will be looking for taking revenge for their defeat.

Previously, these two teams have faced each other once at Sydney in Australia in 2006-07 where the home team received a thumping 77-run defeat.

The opening T20 match is going to be a crucial one for Australian cricket team. It seems that the time of Australia’s rebuilding process has started. After the retirement of Michael Clarke from T20 cricket format, Cameron White has been named the new captain of Australian cricket team with Tim Paine his deputy.

Australian squad is the combination of young and experienced players. Some new players will make their debut for Australia while an experienced player like Brett Lee is ready to make his come back in the national squad.

With Shaun Tait and Brett Lee, Australia has strong bowling line up. However, their batting line up also looks much dangerous with the inclusion of David Hussey and David Warner. David Hussey is one of the finest T20 batsmen in the world. Diminutive David Warner has already proved himself as the talented batsman.

The young fast bowler, James Pattinson, is one of the new faces who will make his debut in one of the two matches. It is expected that he will make his debut in the second game in Melbourne.

However, millions of fans will eagerly wait to see if England can make a new world record.
