Hindi Film actress and model, Poonam Jhawar, will be seen playing the role of controversial Nira Radia in the movie named ‘2G Radia-tion’.
The film will be made based on the corporate lobbyist Nira Radia who had been headlined because of her 2G telecom spectrum scandal. In this film, Radia’s life will be traced as a young entrepreneur who has hit headlines in the 2G telecom spectrum investigation.
Poonam is now very much happy after bagging the second lead role of her career. It may be a turning point for an actress like her. Poonam said at a press conference in Mumbai, “The producers felt my overall personality matches with that of Nira Radia’s. It’s the role of a lifetime for me…I have begun observing the original Nira more carefully and would like to meet her personally,”.
She also said that she was amazed to see how cool and calm Radia has been ever since the controversy erupted.
Poonam Jhawar, who is known as a film-maker, singer, actress and model, made her debut in Bollywood in Mohra, a movie starring Akshay Kumar with a blink-and-miss role.
Except movie, she has also featured in music videos like “Tauba Tauba Kya Hoga” and “Kis Kis Ko Batao”. She is also known as producer as she has produced a Bollywood movie ‘Aanch’ starring Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal.
The movie, 2G Radia-tion, will be produced by a NRI Hiten Gupta and helmed by Alpesh Dixit and Vijay Desai. Satchit Puranik has been reported to sign a deal to direct the film.
