National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is available online

On 20th December 2010 (Monday), the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has published the October Examination Results 2010 of Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12). The results of Secondary and Senior Secondary will be available online.

Candidates of Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations will find their results on the official website of NIOS. The official website address is- http://www.nios.ac.in/.

Examination results can be found through SMS. That is why, candidates will have to go to SMS option and type NIOS12 and then send it to any one of the following No.

The numbers are- 5676750, 52424, 58888, 56263.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is formerly known as National Open School. It was established in November 1989 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India to provide education inexpensively to remote areas. It was established as an autonomous organization in pursuance of National Policy on Education 1986.

With the help of open and distance learning (ODL) mode, interested learners can get the opportunities from NIOS to study the following Courses/Programmes-

· Open Basic Education (OBE) Programme for 14+ years age group, adolescents and adults at A, B and C levels that are equivalent to classes III, V and VIII of the formal school system.

· Secondary Education Course

· Senior Secondary Education Course

· Vocational Education Courses/Programmes

· Life Enrichment Programmes

Except these courses/Programmes, it also offers Elementary level Courses through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE).
