Canon makes Impressive Growth in Revenue in 2010 in Asia

Canon is after all an Asian company from Japan. It is popular in many countries of Asia in digital camera and printer segments. So, the company is expecting a significant growth from revenue in Asia in 2010.
The company is doing well not only in Asia but globally. Reuters reported:
Operating profit is likely to rise 84 percent from the previous year to about 400 billion yen ($4.8 billion), higher than Canon's forecast of 390 billion yen, the Nikkei said without identifying sources.
Sales will likely total 3.75 trillion yen, exceeding the company's forecast of 3.71 trillion yen, the Nikkei said.
Demand for profitable single-lens reflex cameras has been healthy in China and better than expected in developed markets in the vital year-end holiday shopping season, the paper said.

It is good news for Japanese economy too. The country’s economy is suffering for a long time with almost no hope of revival. May be, Canon’s good performance would bring hope to boost consumer confidence in Japan to some extent.
