Toyota to Increase Production of Camry Sedan and Rav4

You already know that global economic slowdown has made severe effect on the global auto market and the condition is more severe in the world’s largest auto market US. A number of auto makers including General Motors, Chrysler, Ford, and Toyota are cutting their production to match inventory with the slow demands in the market.

Toyota has recently decided that it would increase production for some of its models including Camry sedan and Rav4 for the next four months in order to grasp more market share, taking the advantage of struggling auto makers. Toyota saw its first operating loss in the last fiscal year in more than 70 years and now predicts to experience another operational loss this year too. In fact, the Japanese auto maker has seen 42 percent drop in its April sales compared to year-earlier figure. That is why, it is very important to increase production only for those vehicles which could help the company to gain more market share in the struggling economy.
